Flipper boats have been around since 1966 and in more recent years have become part of the Nimbus Group.
They produce models ranging from 6.5 m to 9 m.
The 900 ST is the brand's flagship. Its spacious cockpit is the first thing that catches your eye.
Details such as double-arm wipers and thick teak flooring demonstrate the quality of construction.
The hydraulically sectioned sunbed can be raised; it assists with trimming to lift the engines off the water surface.
In front of the sun bed is a black Perspex door that opens to reveal a full-width aft cabin – impressive for a 9m sports boat.
The cabin is equipped with a window and a height that allows two adults to sleep comfortably.

Galley section: foldable countertop, can be extended by sliding forward.
Located opposite the dinette (dining area); elevation includes drawer or extra cupboard space.
49 L refrigerator standard.
The dinette table can be raised and lowered electrically to become a bed.
The side decks are subtle but practical; attaching the fenders requires some care.
Lower deck: a single-compartment area containing a shower, toilet and sink.
Forward cabin: large double berth (not V-berth), standing room available.

The driver's position is ideal when seated; a standing view is possible through the sunroof.
When you push the throttle forward, it can reach 30 knots in 7 seconds.

There may be a slight slippage in tight turns, but balance is quickly regained.
